What is the meaning of the furniture term Candle Box?

Tall hanging box of wood or tin, used for keeping candles. A candle box is a small container or box that is specifically designed for holding and storing candles. It is usually made of wood and has a hinged lid or a removable top to access and light the candles. Candle boxes were commonly used in the past to store and transport candles safely, protecting them from dust and damage. In some cases, candle boxes may also include compartments or dividers to keep multiple candles organized. Nowadays, candle boxes are often used as decorative pieces or for displaying and storing specialty or luxury candles.
